12/07: Fall Newsletter
Merry Christmas!
We, Gary that is, have been very remiss about keeping this site current once again. I have a natural tendency to stay busy with other things and neglect some - this is one of the things I have neglected. I won't spend a lot of time about what has transpired since July. This will be more a condensed version of what we have been up to over the past several months.
Gary has stayed fairly busy around the house and at work. He laid sod and has done some cleaning up around the garden area in the front yard during October and November. It is finally starting to look nice. The backyard is next in the spring. Gary also recently hung our surround sound speakers. They were on stands, but kept getting knocked over by the cats or sliding down the adjustable shafts. The sound was awful. We tested the mounted speakers with the movie, Cars. Sounds awesome now. Work was actually slow for a while, but he now has a new project he is working on and another starting later in December for his other training analyst. Gary has also taken over as webmaster for our church's website. He used a basic layout to get the site updated and looking a bit better. Check it out at www.lbbf.org.
Edna started a new job at Walmart in Murrieta. She works the evening shift and seems to be doing pretty good. Her team lead has given her quite a few compliments on the great job she does. It took here a while to adjust from a small store to a large one.
The kids are doing well. William's grades are starting to come up, while Sheila is maintaining her grades at a high level. William finished his football season several weeks ago. He finished with this team as a starter on special teams and defense and as second string tight end on offense. The coach had a lot of good things to say about his technique and athletic talent. Next year he wants to move to linebacker and running back. William's end of season banquet is on December 13. Sheila has her first choir concert with her school on December 15. So next week should be pretty busy for all of us.
Christmas and New Years looks to be a quiet family affair for us. We spent Thanksgiving with Gary's mom and sister in Solvang. We had a nice dinner, watched some football and a couple of movies. We really enjoyed the time with them.
That's all for now. We will have another newsletter posted up after the first of the year.
Have a blessed Christmas and happy New Year.

Hello to everyone!
We are kicking off our newletter this month as a web blog. We are pretty excited about this. Rather than keeping a journal (or not) and then posting it into a monthly newsletter, we can keep everyone up-to-date as things happen around the Trimble family. With that said, we will attempt to get everyone up to speed with June happenings.
June has seen a sense of normalcy return to the Trimble home. And by that we mean to say that Gary has no college work and the family is spending more time together. June has been a rather slow month though. The highlights centered on Sheila's youth camp and William's football camp. Gary has a couple of initiatives at work, volunteering time with the youth football program, and a minor medical issue. Edna has two weeks before she and the kids fly to the Philippines.
Work has been a bit slow for Gary. Most of his work has been on process improvements, business development, and helping out on other project areas as needed. A new area he is working on is ISO 9001 compliancy, starting with the training development processes. He is also working on cost estimates for continuing work with his current customer. Gary has also volunteered to be the athletic director for his son's football team. On a final note, Gary's doctor had him go through a some blood tests and an ultrasound due to elevated liver enzyme outputs. Turns out he has a diffused fatty liver, meaning he needs to lose some weight.
The youth from our church, Las Brisas Bible Fellowship, had youth camp at Pt Loma in San Diego. Sheila went with the junior high students on the 18th and had a great time. They did some kayaking, swimming at Mission Beach (Gary's favorite spot as a teen for boogey boarding), Bible teaching, and lots of fellowship. William is looking forward to this next year.
William had some pre-football season events during June. He picked up his football gear - pads, gym clothes, helmet, and pants - on the 17th. He also took a physical that day, which he passed with no problem. We found out that he is nearly 5' 1" and 128 pounds. We also had a team meeting, at which time Gary volunteered to be the team athletic director. William also had football camp the week of June 26. The camp was led by a local high school's football coaching staff as well as some guest speakers. William worked out with the linebackers and running backs. Team practice starts at the end of July.
Edna is pretty calm right now, but we know she is getting excited about her trip to the Philippines. We have friends that live down their as well, so Edna and the kids will have plenty to do and see.
We had a couple of family outings as well. Gary took the kids and William's best friend to Angel's baseball game. We had a great time, but unfortunately the Angel's lost to the Padres. We also went to Perris Auto Speedway to watch the USAC sprints race. This is always a great time as everyone enjoys these races.
After much deliberation over the past year, we have decided to remain in Murrieta until the Lord calls us to move. Edna and Gary have wanted to move back to San Marcos, but the kids love Murrieta and we all really like the house. So we have made a list of home improvements, beginning with flooring this fall. Other improvements include the upstairs hall bathroom, the kitchen, the garage, landscaping, and new windows.
Check back often as we update this blog throughout the month. May God bless each of you in your endeavors.
Grace and peace,
Gary, Edna, Sheila, and William
